Psalm 139 Series: God Knows All About Me

Sermon entitled “God Knows All About Me” by Alistair Begg of Truth for Life.

The first six verses of Psalm 139 convey the staggering truth that the Lord knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we do, where we go, what we think, what we say, all that we long for, and all that we need. Alistair Begg reminds us that there’s no safer place to put our trust than in Almighty God, who doesn’t love from a distance but searches us and knows us, sending His Son to lay down His life for us in order that we may also know Him.

Psa. 139:1 ¶ O Yahweh, You have asearched me and known me.

Psa. 139:2 You aknow 1when I sit down and 2when I rise up; You bunderstand my thought from afar.

Psa. 139:3 You 1ascrutinize my 2path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

Psa. 139:4 1Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Yahweh, You aknow it all.

Psa. 139:5 You have aenclosed me behind and before, And You have bput Your hand upon me.

Psa. 139:6 Such aknowledge is btoo wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it.
