2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
God’s Word is beautiful, amazing and God-breathed or Theopneustos. Below are a few facts about the Bible or Holy Scripture for you to ponder or think on that Professor James M. Hamilton Jr. wrote in Volume I of his two volume commentary on Psalms:
“The words that God inspired the biblical authors to write have created an interpreted culture. We can see that culture:
- In the stunning agreement in perspective among Scripture’s forty some authors
- who lived across one thousand five hundred years
- on three different continents.
No biblical author objects to the fact that the others believe in God, or that they think him faithful…None seek to “clarify” that in reality no salvation is needed….
Not only are the biblical authors in agreement with one another on the big ideas, they also agree with one another on how to interpret earlier Scripture. That is, they share a hermeneutical perspective.”
Pause and think on that.
